Iran Spearphished Roger Stone
An amazing turn of events.
As a rule, I don’t pay much attention to Iran. Yes, they create problems, but they’re mobbed by Islamophobes here in the U.S. There are endless trails of a social botnet in my recording system that has been attributed to Iran, but it’s a problem for Gulf monarchies, and the one patron I had in this area slipped away a couple years ago.
MIOS: Iran’s PressTV happened because some of those NAFO pooches sunk their teeth into an obscure leak that only turned up on DDoSecrets after the reporting became public. Had the Canine Intelligence Agency never sniffed out the details, this episode was already all but gone down the internet’s memory hole.
But here we are, two weeks from the first anniversary of All Enemies, Foreign and Domestic, Especially Roger Stone, which is a story akin to the PressTV stuff. I’ve known something about Roger Stone for years that has never been properly reported. Given Carol Leonnig’s shocking $10M cash withdrawal drove secret probe into whether Trump took money from Egypt, I feel like I’m not being an obsessive weirdo in hanging on to that stuff.
And Carol Leonnig again today in the Washington Post … Evidence suggests Trump adviser Susie Wiles was among Iran hack targets … which includes this marvel.
I groused about the differential handling of the 2016 DNC intrusion versus this latest activity in Ignoring The Fourth Estate, but I suspect that, big picture, it’s better to NOT pour fuel on the fire.
But in this case … if I’m granted just one wish from a genie after polishing some ancient Persian lamp …
