The U.S. 2024 election is in 173 days, then the inauguration is 76 days after that.
Usually the last ninety days are the bulk of the election action. I was expecting it to get rolling with the start of third quarter, but it’s here early and in force. Some things that are clearly driving the early rise in activity include:
Trump criminal troubles.
Fake elector indictments in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Nevada.
War in Ukraine.
Hamas attack and Israeli response.
Campus protest encampments.
Artificial intelligence vs. Organic Stupidity.
So the time is ripe for law enforcement attention. Areas of focus would be:
Any foreign actor stirring the pot.
Broad January 6th investigation morphed into 2024 prep work.
Occupy Wall Street style protests will spawn longer running groups.
Multifaceted attempts at politicized prosecution.
So the reason for this other silly season to begin are numerous. Let’s consider some past episodes involving cooperating human sources.
Attention Conservation Notice:
If you’re not directly in or supporting a grassroots group, if your contacts are stable long term players, this will probably be academic for you.
ZOMG FEDZ RUN!@!@!@!
The hacker world uses the word “fed” in a reckless, overloaded fashion. I’ve seen it applied to:
People who later proved to be informants.
People who serve as confidential human sources.
People who have worked some sort of job within “the machine”.
Individuals who get compromised and forced to serve as CHS.
Trolls who adopt aspects of real CHS practice.
Effective individuals who are problematic for informants trying to frame people.
The hazards of this are a broad spectrum, everything from “Hey, who called my boss?” to getting your door breached. There are a number of articles I’ve written that contain material related to these issues. They include:
OK, so there’s a small novella about it. Sorry, but it is what it is.
Specific Episode:
There are a number of episodes from the past that would be instructive, but since McGibney is active again we’ll stick to Texas.
As you know from Probable Pissposting, I’ve had a civil case with Federal Informant James McGibney for a little over ten years. I won the case when the original attorney panicked and fled 93 minutes after Jeff Dorrell entered an appearance for me. The last 122 months have been about getting to the point where we can do a debtor’s exam, because this will show his bullshit litigation was done at the behest of the Dallas FBI field office. Getting this done is my retirement savings plan.
Pissboy included half a dozen people I didn’t know when he filed the suit in Texas, including a psychopathic con man named Tom Retzlaff. There was a noisome blog that followed the cluster of court cases related to McGibney and whomever was running it seemed to know a lot about Retzlaff. I’ve always thought it was a member of Hunter Moore’s crew who was never prosecuted, but Retzlaff was murdered at the start of September, 2021, and the site slowly imploded over that month.
The site operator, “Dean Anderson”, kept trying to drag me into things. Finally, shortly after New Years in 2018, I said something to the effect of “Can you not see how this course of action will lead to you ending up in handcuffs?”, and then I settled in to ignoring the whole situation.
That March I was approached on LinkedIn by a Texas man named James Jelinek. He claimed to have been mistreated by his former employer and he was wanting to do something about it. I immediately asked him for a summary and offered to introduce him to my attorney. No, that wasn’t suitable, he just wanted some payback.
This is where the creepy, tense music starts in a horror movie.
I played it through until I knew the name of the company, then I called their security people. I got a burst of abuse from Jellinek and then he ghosted me on LinkedIn. Attacking the ambulance service for Harris county, where Houston is located, is just not the sort of service I provide.
Do, Don’t & Derps:
An informant will attempt to get you to engage in criminal activity. You need to get familiar with Title 18 § 1030, Title 18 § 875, Title 18 § 1512, and Title 18 § 371. Oh, and you absolutely need to be on top of Title 18 § 1001. Don’t do these things. Don’t hang around with people who run their mouths about doing these things. And you definitely do not want to witness such things.
Most of you are not going to get yourselves into the pickle I’m in. I keep contemporaneous notes and other documentation. I periodically back that material up in a couple of different ways. And my wildly inconsistent sleep is tracked by a fitness monitor primarily for the sake of my health, but as a nice secondary benefit, if someone is posing as me and criming while I’m sleeping …
As I mentioned in Julian Assange Flipping? and Julian Assange Timeline, the tiresome Wikileaks episode is finally drawing to a close. Pissboy and his partisans are uniformly from the dumber than thou end of the internet, but those I take to be Wikileaks people have made me stop, think, and in some cases adjust my posture to eliminate an attack surface.
If you personally end up having to do these sorts of things, you fucked up bigly somewhere along the way. But it is entirely possible that you’ll encounter such things piecemeal when serving as a guide to a group of active individuals. If you recognize the problem and have an immediate, executable solution, you won’t win, but there’s a good chance whomever the pursuer is will get frustrated and go do something else.
Conclusion:
One of the things that has not yet sunk in is the potential that November’s Civil War Referendum could go the wrong way. People who’ve never encountered the corruption hate groups bring to the courts are simply unprepared for a legal system that does not adhere to the rule of law. That’s what I’ve faced in Texas and I have seen a rising number of others for whom the light came on, but that happened after they’d suffered losses.
We will not have the luxury of everybody learning the hard way. If my scribbling here saves just one of you one tenth of the grief I’ve faced, I’d consider this a worthwhile effort.
Be careful out there …
