Help With Maltego Renewal?
They want their $499 come May 7th.

I have been a Maltego Classic user since 2012, every year coming up with the $499 to renew. The last seven months have been just ugly for me, starting with health stuff in October, all sorts of client troubles, and finally the mold induced move this month.
Rent is due right before the renewal, I’m $800 short, but I think I have a plan for that. How to cover the Maltego renewal remains up in the air, and it’s a big deal - the version I use is $499, the least cost thing available if I have to restart is …

Usage:
I use the Maltego link analysis package for all sorts of things. Regular readers will already be acquainted with the enormous graph I kept of MAGA world from the fall of 2020 through the 2024 election. There are 1,573 news articles, court documents, and the like, it’s a pretty full mapping of everyone who had anything to do with the various investigations in those years. Now that we’re post-truth it’s value has of course declined greatly, but it’s an example of what is possible.
There were 602 U.S. numbers called by Iran’s PressTV. Nobody has ever really followed up on this in an organized fashion.
I am due to put up a Chew Toys article about the professional services grifter I encountered weeks ago. That person had a number of overlapping domains that pretend to be job boards for the sake of facilitating their fraud. Maltego and its various transforms (remote API queries) made characterizing this easy.
I just did a quick search on my system and there are 2,491 unique Maltego files, which sounds like a lot until you divide that by almost thirteen years of use - that’s an average of not quite two a day. There have been days where I’ve created several dozens, and months where I hardly look at it, but it has been vital to my long term efforts.
Conclusion:
This isn’t a lot of money for someone with a job, but I’m on the hunt and spring of 2025 is not the time for that, looks like everything is coming apart. So anything you can spare will help me maintain capability in the network analysis area.
