And today, in a similar spirit to Doin’ A FISA, I am gonna post this picture of Jennifer Lawrence in Red Sparrow. We’ve just begun the “showing skeptical reporters” phase of the process, and with all the MAGA meltdown stuff happening … this might turn into a nice Halloween spook story.

Update: A reader asks “Hey, aren’t you retired?”

Well, yes, but …

The masthead shows evidence that we bonked Iran’s English language influence operation. Since February of 2022 we’ve showed similar respect for the Belarusian KGB, the FSB, the GRU, and that sad little pack of Cheka cosplayers in Transnistria. I’ve got receipts for the first and the last, but those won’t be shown until my book is published.

Russian intel watchers will already guess this is about the one agency that hasn’t received a proper bonking - the Sluzhba Vneshney Razvedki. These guys are the Russian equivalent of the CIA, and unlike the FSB/GRU, they are not a constant clown show. I never imagined I’d ever have a shot at them, but then the dossier on this red sparrow fell out of the sky and landed right on my desk.

Steelers fans will understand why I must do this …
